Progress of Dalcapon Writs

The Progress of writs relating to the lands of Dalcapon, near Pitlochry, are contained within the Faskally papers which are to be found under MSS 1433 in the Advocate's Library, Edinburgh. As the inventory does not run in chronological order, I have retained the original enumeration but rearranged the entries so that they do descend by year.

4. Precept of Sasine by James Hepburn, Dean of Dunkeld, for the lands of Dalcabon to Patrick Robertson, dated 13 June 1550.

5. Charter by the said James Hepburn for the lands of Dalcabon to Patrick Robertson, dated 13 June 1550.

2. Precept of Sasine by James Hepburn, Dean of Dunkeld, in favour of Alexander Robertson, son to Patrick Robertson of Dalcabon, following upon a resignation of these lands by the said Patrick. Dated 20 August 1562.

7. Charter by James Hepburn of the lands of Dalcabon in favour of Alexander Robertson, son of Patrick Robertson of Dalcabon, dated 10 June 1562.

3. Sasine for the lands of Dalcabon in favour of Duncan Robertson, son of Alexander Robertson of Dalcabon, following upon a retour of the said Duncan as heir to his father. Dated 31 October 1589.

6. Sasine for the lands of Dalcabon in favour of Duncan Robertson, dated 21 November 1604.

27. Precept of Clare Constat by Alexander Ireland, Dean of Dunkeld, of the lands of Dalcabon in favour of Patrick Robertson of Dalcabon, dated 7 July 1664.

21. Charter of alienation by Patrick Robertson of Dalcapon to Donald Robertson of Killiechangie of the lands of Dalcapon, dated 10 May 1671.

32. Disposition of the lands of Dalcabon by Donald Robertson of Killiechangie to Alexander Robertson of Faskallie, dated 9 May 1701.
