NOTE: Untangling the succession to the lands of Achnacone in the second-half of the 18th century has been problematic however the Sasine in favour Alexander Stewart dated 10 September 1800 and recorded at NRS RS3/625/80-87, suitably clarifies the relationships between the various parties.
Sasine in favour of Alexander Stewart of the lands of Achnacone, previously held by Alexander Stewart, last of Achnacone, now deceased, second son of the deceased Alexander Stewart, who was next brother to the deceased Donald Stewart, formerly of Achnacone, who by Disposition dated 15 April 1777, granted by the said Donald Stewart, whereby for the love and favour which he had and bore to the said Alexander Stewart, his nephew, and Susanna Stewart, his daughter, and spouse of the said Alexander Stewart last of Achnacone, and for other reasons moving him, sold alienated and disposed under the expenses and reservations therein contained, to the said Alexander Stewart, his nephew, and to the said Susanna Stewart, wife to the said Alexander Stewart in liferent during all of her days, and to the heirs-male of the body of the said Alexander Stewart, which failing, to the heirs male of the body of Alexander Stewart, eldest son of the deceased Duncan Stewart, second brother German of the said Donald Stewart, and his heirs male, which failing, to Donald Stewart, second son of the said Duncan Stewart, and heirs male, which failing, to Allan Stewart, third brother German of the said Donald Stewart, and his heirs male, and and whole the lands of Achnacone.
